Single, but ready to mingle this Valentine’s Day, February 14th? Forget online dating, or being set up by your mates… check out these much more fun ways to find love this February 14th.

The love boat!
On Thursday 12th February, singles (and their trusted wingmen and wingwomen) can take to the seas and the sky to find love, when dating site Mysinglefriend.com teams up with Transport for London (TFL) for a cool event in the capital…

The free event starts with daters and their mates travelling on a moonlit boat ride along the Thames on board and MBNA Thames Clipper with comedian Matt Reed getting the crowd warmed up. Then, after disembarking at Greenwich, singles will take to the skies in cable cars for a twenty-minute ride!
Afterwards, everyone heads to All Bar One at The O2 were you can down discounted drinks and chat up any potential love interests!

Feline lonely
If you’d love to meet a furry, or not so furry, friend, then head to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home on Friday 13th, where you can mingle with fellow animal lovers over canapes and bubbly, before heading to the cat cuddle booth! Perhaps the start of a tale of love?

If you live in London, make a date at Mr Buckley’s on Hackney Road, who have teamed up with Instagram sensation SymmetryBreakfast (oddly, famous for posting perfectly symmetrical pictures of breakfasts!) and spicy sauce Tabasco, to whip up two completely identical breakfasts followed by a couples cocktail class.

Let’s get physical!
Forget taking a date to the cinema to watch Fifty Shades… instead sign up for something that’ll get your heart beating faster at a Valentine’s event hosted by Channel 4’s The Jump contestant, Louise Hazel. Louise promises ‘ropes, chains and pain’ at her S&M-themed event, where singles and couples will undergo a high intensity interval workout followed by a DJ afterparty.

‘I wanted to make Valentine’s Day fun. Whether you’re single, married or it’s complicated, I think it’s important that people feel empowered and happy from the inside out, no matter what day of the year it is!’ says Louise.

Sweet love
If you’re on the hunt for a new sweetheart, then check out Speed Dater’s events this February. As well as a host of matchmaking parties across the country, they’re throwing a party on 14th which matches up singles using Love Heart sweets! Every guest is handed a Love Heart sweet when they arrive, and has to find the other person whose message matches theirs. Meanwhile, in Birmingham on 19th you could find a pizza the action at their pizza-making dating event, where singles can get doughy over one another, and impress with their best cheesy lines.

Bowled over
Head to the bowling alley if you’re hoping to strike it lucky this February 14th… Match.com are holding events in Manchester’s Black Dog Ballroom and London’s Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes where you can show off your pins and bowl someone over on match-dedicated lanes. Plus they’re throwing in a free drink to get everyone loosened up beforehand.
